Between October 3, 2000, when the Mercy Health Clinic opened it's doors until the end of 2005, there have been 16,588 patient visits and the number of registered patients has grown to 3316.
Staff has initiated a bi-lingual Diabetes Specialty Clinic, which is held once a month for approximately 150 patients. The Clinic provides education and counseling for patients regarding diet and medical care to foster continuing well-being and successful disease management. In 2002, a nutrition and lifestyles program was started to target obesity and related health problems of Clinic patients.
A number of volunteer specialists were added to the staff allowing the Clinic to broaden and expand the scope of services and special health care needs being addressed. These include gynecology, ophthalmology, dermatology, allergy, orthopedics, endocrinology, cardiology, radiology, urology, neurology, and otolaryngology.
Mercy Clinic's Board of Directors have actively increased their participation with Montgomery County's four other clinics and the Primary Care Coalition to foster greater coordination of services and support from county and state agencies.
Members of the Mercy Clinic Board and staff have mentored health care initiatives by the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center and Peoples' Community Baptist Church.
- Clinic volunteers grew to 150 active clinical and administrative staff, with over 30 Doctors regularly volunteering their services.
- The clinic recorded over 2500 patient visits in the 1st year, 150% over goal. In calender year 2005, there were over 5,000 patient visits and 394 new patients were registered.

- Shady Grove Adventist Hospital provides lab services valued at over $100,000 annually.
- Several local radiology clinics proved free x-ray services to patients.
- Mercy Health Clinic receives financial support from numerous religious & social organizations, churches, synagogues, foundations, businesses and generous individuals
- The Primary Care Coalition, the African American Health Initiative, and the Latino Health Institute
support Mercy Health Clinic in its efforts.
- Community Clinics, Mobil Med, Projecto Salud, Spanish Catholic Center and other community-based
nonprofit health care organizations work with Mercy Health Clinic to provide a safety net for needy
county residents.
