Staff
The most unique and positive aspect of the Mercy Health Clinic are the volunteers. More than 150 doctors, nurses, specialists, translators and administrative staff volunteer time and talent to provide essential health services to clinic patients.
The Mercy Health Clinic is staffed with highly trained and experienced physicians, nurses and allied healthcare professionals. Dr. James Ronan, a cardiologist with Adventist Health Care, is the Mercy Health Clinic Medical Director.
Multi-lingual volunteers have been trained to record patient histories and provide interpretation services when necessary. Some of the languages spoken are Spanish Vietnamese, Korean, Russian, and Chinese.
The Mercy Health Clinic Board is responsible for protecting the public interest by fulfilling necessary legal requirements, maintaining the integrity of the Clinic through medical audits, etc. and responsibly selecting members, officers and establishing constructive nonprofit board procedures. The Board maintains the viability of the Clinic and secures adequate funding sources. In addition, the Board oversees the Clinic's financial operations. The Mercy Clinic staff provides essential and quality health services for patients through diagnosis, evaluation, testing, treatment and referrals to specialists for individual patient care. Volunteers' support and assist staff at the Clinic in various roles for which they have been specifically trained.
