Mercy Health Clinic offers primary health care to uninsured adults of limited means.
Clinic Services
- General medical appointments with doctors and nurses
- Care for acute illnesses, care of chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma
- Necessary laboratory tests
- Preventive care to include
- Routine physical examinations
- Personal and group health care education
- Prescription drugs and medications when available
- Specialty Clinics targeting diabetes and obesity
- Prostate Screening
Referral Services
Health services, which the clinic is frequently not able to provide on site, are referred to volunteer specialists and clinics, including:
- Medical specialists: podiatrist, allergist, ophthalmologist, dentist, cardiologist, asthma specialist and
endocrinologist.
- Note: Some medical specialists do come to the clinic on a regular schedule.
- Women's health care
- X-rays
- Mammograms
- Mental health services
Hours of Operation
Tuesday and Thursday 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm - by appointment only.
Wednesday specialty health care clinics - by appointment only
Three doctors and three nurses are normally scheduled during clinic hours. In addition there are generally receptionists, translators, interpreters, and office support.
Eligibility
Clinic services are available for uninsured adults who are Montgomery County residents, meet low-income guidelines, are not eligible for government assisted health care and who can demonstrate that they do not have personal assets, financial reserves or sufficient family resources to support their own medical care.
Qualification Requirements
All new patients must be qualified based on the eligibility requirements before they may take advantage of clinic services. Please call the clinic at 240-773-0300 to arrange for an interview.
Fees
Clinic services are free of charge, however to help support the financial requirements of the clinic patients are encouraged to donate $25 at their first visit and $10 for each follow-up visit, if they are able to do so. All donations are greatly appreciated and help keep the clinic operational. No one will be turned away if they are unable to contribute for the Clinic services.

Directions
The new Clinic is close to the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), which is on Metropolitan Grove Road about a block and a half in from Clopper Road.
The following Ride-On buses stop at the corner of Clopper Road and Metropolitan Grove Road:

Metropolitan Court is the first street on the left as you approach the MVA . The Clinic is on the left side of the street almost at the end of the block.
Those using 270 and coming from the Germantown area would take exit 11 west and follow the signs to the MVA. Those traveling north on 270 would take exit 10 and follow the signs to the MVA.
*Mercy Health Clinic has requested Montgomery County officials to schedule Ride-On bus service from Clopper Road to 7-1 Metropolitan Court. A decision is pending.
