Volunteers are vital to our mission and continue to make Mercy Health Clinic an efficient and welcoming resource for our community.\u00a0We need you!<\/p>\n<p>The Clinic has a strong need for medical and clinical staff throughout the week\u00a0and our needs for medical providers include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Physicians (both specialists and primary care)<\/li>\n<li>Nurse Practitioners<\/li>\n<li>Physician Assistants<\/li>\n<li>Optometrists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If you are interested in joining our volunteer physicians and volunteer medical providers, please contact Laureen Harkins, ANP, Clinical Director via email to <em>laureen.harkins@mercyhealthclinic.org<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All volunteer physicians and providers must have a current license and certification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malpractice Coverage<br \/>\n<\/strong>Our\u00a0volunteer physicians and providers\u00a0are covered for malpractice insurance under Montgomery County\u2019s medical liability self-insurance program. More information about this coverage will be provided during the application process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We Need You!<br \/>\n<\/strong>Mercy Health Clinic is here to serve those who have nowhere else to turn. More than 60,000 adults are without health insurance in Montgomery County, even after implementation of the Affordable Care Act (also known as ObamaCare). Join an award-winning clinic that provides quality care from the heart for our neighbors in need. All of our patients are low-income and are uninsured, with half living at or below the poverty line. Most of our patients are women, most were born out of the country, and many have multiple chronic conditions.
